D-Dimer Is Associated With Coronary Microvascular Dysfunction in Patients With Non-obstructive Coronary Artery Disease and Preserved Ejection Fraction

Coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMVD), an important etiology of ischemic heart disease, has been widely studied. D-dimer is a simple indicator of microthrombosis and inflammation. However, whether an increase in D-dimer is related to CMVD is still unclear.

Do we miss rare adverse events induced by COVID-19 vaccination?

Although severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection has caused many complications, the invention of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines has also brought about several adverse events, from common side eects to unexpected and rare ones. Common vaccine-related
adverse reactions manifest locally or systematically following any vaccine, including COVID-19 vaccines. Specific side eects, known as adverse events of particular interest (AESI), are unusual and need more evaluation. Here, we discuss some of the most critical rare adverse events of COVID-19 vaccines.

Myocardial Injury and Altered Gene Expression Associated With SARS-CoV-2 Infection or mRNA Vaccination

COVID-191-3 infection and SARS-COV-2 mRNA-based vaccines4-8 are both infrequently associated with myocardial injury that is typically diagnosed clinically as myocarditis. The observation that mRNA platform-based vaccines are associated with an incidence of myocardial injury/myocarditis that exceeds background rates in certain younger age groups,7,8 where it has a prevalence approaching COVID-19 myocarditis7, is a surprising and important observation that needs further investigation. Specifically, the question of whether these 2 disorders are similar or different from histopathologic and molecular perspectives has not yet been addressed. The common exposure of both to SARS-CoV-2 Spike (S) protein provides the basis for testing the hypothesis that the pathophysiologies are similar.

Regular exercise may improve the effectiveness of coronavirus vaccines

“I think this study adds to the growing evidence that, along with vaccination, daily physical activity is the single most important thing you can do to prevent severe COVID-19 outcomes,” said Robert Sallis, a family and sports medicine doctor at the Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center in California and former president of the American College of Sports Medicine. He has researched covid and exercise but was not involved with the new study.

“If a society can’t fight for children, there is no point in having a society.” David Gornoski is joined by former HHS scientist Dr. Paul Alexander who talks about the next event where he is scheduled to speak, whether children need vaccines, how the Biden administration carries water for vaccine manufacturers, the Boston lab-made Covid strain, and more. Plus, David talks about his article on Blake Master’s pro-liberty and pro-family movement to DC.

The writing is on the wall, even at Fox News. The obvious collusion between big Pharma and the American government is completely out of control. We have been waiting for a Rosa Parks moment, this might be it.

Virological characteristics of the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron BA.2.75 variant

The SARS-CoV-2 Omicron BA.2.75 variant emerged in May 2022. BA.2.75 is a BA.2 descendant but is phylogenetically distinct from BA.5, the currently predominant BA.2 descendant. Here, we show that BA.2.75 has a greater effective reproduction number and different immunogenicity profile than BA.5. We determined the sensitivity of BA.2.75 to vaccinee and convalescent sera as well as a panel of clinically available antiviral drugs and antibodies. Antiviral drugs largely retained potency, but antibody sensitivity varied depending on several key BA.2.75-specific substitutions. The BA.2.75 spike exhibited a profoundly higher affinity for its human receptor, ACE2. Additionally, the fusogenicity, growth efficiency in human alveolar epithelial cells, and intrinsic pathogenicity in hamsters of BA.2.75 were greater than those of BA.2. Our multilevel investigations suggest that BA.2.75 acquired virological properties independent of BA.5, and the potential risk of BA.2.75 to global health is greater than that of BA.5.
