We are a group of physicians and health professionals who came together out of love for our patients, our families, and our communities. The SARS-CoV-2 crisis shook the foundations of medicine, bringing fear, censorship, and confusion. As healers, we knew it was time to speak up and stand for what medicine was always meant to be: a partnership of trust, truth, and compassion.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple: protect lives through honesty, compassion, and informed choice.
We believe in the principle of do no harm and in preserving the freedom of both patient and practitioner to choose the best course of treatment. Healthcare should never be restricted by fear, politics, or coercion—it should be guided by care, conscience, and courage.
Why We Came Together
As frontline doctors, we witnessed firsthand how early treatment and personalized care could save lives. We also saw how proven therapies were dismissed, how research was censored, and how patients were left without clear answers.
That’s not medicine—that’s control.
So we joined forces as Concerned Doctors to restore integrity, transparency, and compassion to healthcare—doing what we were trained and called to do: help people heal.
Our Guiding Principles
Our oath is to do no harm—and that means standing up when harm is being done.
We believe every person deserves:
- Freedom to choose their care without fear or pressure
- Access to honest, uncensored medical information
- Respect for informed consent and bodily autonomy
- Transparency from public health institutions and authorities
We also believe in the free exchange of medical research and clinical data—because informed consent cannot exist without open, honest communication.
What We Stand For
We advocate for early treatment protocols using safe and proven medications to keep patients healthy and out of hospitals.
We believe in open science—not corporate agendas.
We believe in truth—not fear.
And we believe in empowering patients to take control of their own health with confidence and clarity.
Our work doesn’t stop at the clinic door—it extends to every community, every family, and every person seeking trustworthy, compassionate care.
Our Doctors
Dr. David Calderwood
Dr. Calderwood is an Alabama physician who helped found and guide Concerned Doctors. In 2021, he co-signed a letter to Alabama Governor Kay Ivey urging the protection of medical freedom and opposing blanket vaccine mandates. His advocacy for early treatment and informed consent reflects his deep belief that patient autonomy is the cornerstone of ethical medicine.
Dr. Stewart Tankersley
A fourth-generation physician from Montgomery, Alabama, Dr. Tankersley has dedicated his life to both medicine and military service. A Colonel in the Alabama Army National Guard, he served honorably in the Army Medical Corps during the War on Terror. His advocacy for open scientific dialogue and freedom of medical choice has inspired many across the state to stand for transparency and truth in healthcare.
Together for a Healthier Future
Concerned Doctors isn’t just a group—it’s a movement of healers, truth-tellers, and everyday people who care deeply about protecting health and freedom for generations to come.
Together, we’re building a future where medicine is guided by knowledge, integrity, and compassion—not fear or control.
